The UCI Mountain Bike Masters World Championship have started with force and after the excellent assessment of the Cross Country and Downhill Master tracks by Commissioners UCI inspection yesterday, today has been the turn of the official trainings from 10 am to 4 pm.
The day in the Vallnord Bike Park la Massana has developed normally and the riders have been able to recognize the tracks during 6 hours. The DHI participants have realized numerous descents in search of the perfect downhill to make a good ranking. The quality of the track and the steep of the slopes were highlight by the descenders, next to the physically demand of the downhill.
The sun has shone brightly today and has dryed the XCO track and is expected to be in its best conditions for tomorrrow 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 +70 male masters competitions. Most cyclists have coincided in pointing out that the route of the XCO UCI Mountain Bike Masters World Championship is not particularly technical although it is very physical and tough.
The third day of the UCI Mountain Bike Masters World Championships of Vallnord Bike Park La Massana will be the first with the rainbow jersey at stake in the following categories:
• Men master 40-44: 4 laps
• Men master 45-49: 4 laps
• Men master 50-54: 3 laps
• Men master 55-59: 3 laps
• Men master 60-64: 2 laps
• Men master 65-69: 2 laps
• Men master +70: 2 laps
