INFO MARSHALLS

Thank you very much to all the Marshalls that will make possible the UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championship 2015. We have the opportunity to live one of the most important sporting events in the Vallnord Bike Park La Massana and the role and efforts of each of the Marshalls and volunteers is key to the success of the World Championship. The marshalls’ specific responsibilities vary depending on the event. In particular, these responsibilities include:
— Ensuring that the spectators remain in the areas dedicated to them, off the course.
— Making sure the spectator crossing points are safe.
— Conducting any repairs necessary as quickly as possible (replacing stakes, tape, etc.)
— Informing riders of accidents and/or dangers.
— Signalling all accidents and the exact position of any injured rider to assist the emergency services.
— Informing the marshal coordinator of any unfair conduct, failure to remain on the course or any other serious infringement by riders.
— Assisting the media to allow them to work under the safest and most professional conditions possible.
